Acer has launched the Iconia Smart S3 smartphone in India which features a gigantic 4.8-inch display. The device is based on the Android 2.3 aka Gingerbread OS and was unveiled last year at the Acer’s Global press event. Calling it a “100 per cent smartphone, 100 per cent tablet”, Acer likes to classify it under the hybrid genre of smartphone/tabs just as Dell did for its 5-inch Streak. Talking about the tech – a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor power it up, sports a 4.8-inch (1024 x 480 pixels) capacitive multi-touch display with 21: 9 aspect ratio, six-axis Gyroscope, accelerometer and 8GB of internal memory. It also has an 8.0MP auto focus shooter at the rear, a front facing 2.0MP camera, an HDMI port, a 3.5mm audio jack, microSD slot and offers connectivity features like Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The Acer Iconia Smart S300 is priced at Rs 28,990.
